Borage Herb - Borago officinalis
The old herbalists held that borage made people cheerful and courageous. In today's world we can all use a lot of that.
Can be used during fevers and especially during convalescence.
Good anti-inflammatory herb to use in conditions like pleurisy.
Leaves and seeds stimulate the flow of milk in nursing mothers.
It is good with eel and other fatty fish, potato salad, white cheeses, yoghurt, pimms and other long summer drinks.
It combines well with chervil, cress, dill, garlic, mint, rocket and salad burnet.
